Disclaimer: The inclusion of resources here is for informational, historical, and research purposes only and is provided as a service for US Army War College faculty, students, and graduates to support their educational and professional requirements. These may include outdated or superseded materials. The inclusion of these materials does not constitute endorsement by the U.S. Army War College, the U.S. Army, or Department of Defense.

The “special enterprises” are those segments of the defense enterprise that embody very unique skills sets and domains of expertise that separate them from some of the common practices used in the broader defense enterprise. The intent is that enterprise activities involving either the core missions of the services or direct support of them (such as combat support and combat service support) should be encompassed in the main aisles of the library. This aisle is reserved for those whose support to the enterprise is vital but whose functions are so unique that they warrant separate treatment.

For this version of the library, these include legal, medical, chaplain, cyber, special operations, DSCA, and the reserve components. Please note that some of the materials may also be located on other shelves.
